Hapur Culture:- Hapur is one of the important industrial & popular towns in the Northern part of India. It is traditionally known for handloom works, the scissors industry & sports accessories. This city belongs to part of Hastinapur, as the protagonists of the Hindu Epic of Mahabharata. Hapur was one of the prominent cities in the North India zone wherein publishing was set up during the 19th century. Hapur was an important hub of commercial publishing houses between the year 1860& 1870.
Hapur contains  a vast agricultural area & 3500 hectares of industrial land. It’s proximity to Delhi is developing it as the industrial hub along with more than eight hundred mini and medium scale of industries. As of August 2020, Hapur has about 30,000 plus industrial units, including more than 20,000 small-scale units and more than 6000 cottage industries.
Recently Central and State governments identified Hapur as a hub in  IT  in the NCR Region.


Religions, Languages & Festival


Diwali, Eid, Holi, Dussehra, are among the most traditional Indian festivals which are the pride of Hapur. A fair by the name of Nauchandi Mela is organized two weeks after Holi every year. The fair celebration continues for about a month and is organized by the Municipal Corporation of Hapur.  Nauchandi Fair started in 1672 & it includes events such as poetry recitations in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, etc.

Hapur is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic. Hapur Diocese by the Apostolic Bull “Quandoquidem Christus” in February 20, 1956, including districts of Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Garhwal, Ghaziabad, Haridwar, Rampur, Bijnor, Chamoli, Dehra Dun  Saharanpur, Tehri, and Uttarkashi in West U.P & Uttarakhand.
The official business language of Hapur is English, Hindi & Urdu. And the KHARI BOLI language is the dominant language for conversation with local people.

Hapur Amazing Facts:- One of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva is Augharnath Mandir, situated at Hapur Cantonment .In 1857 the revolutionaries used to conduct meetings on the premises of the aforesaid temple. Hapur is also called “Kranti Dhara”: The land of revolution which means the first fight for the freedom of India started from Hapur.
-Hapur , which is around 70kms from New Delhi & the second largest city of NCR (National Capital region).
