ABOUT HAPUR

Hapur was declared as a region named Panchsheel Nagar’ on Sep 28, 2011 by Hon. the then Chief Minister Km. Mayawati and in the period of July 2012.

Hon. Chief Minister Sh. Akhilesh Yadav changed the name to ‘Hapur District’.

Hapur is a city with a population of 13,28,322 and noted as assembling center point of making Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes. Hapur is additionally renowned for papads, paper cones and cylinders. Arranged around 60 km from the capital  New Delhi.

The national highway 24 from Delhi to Lucknow additionally passes from the city. It was before known as ‘Haripur’. The city goes under Delhi-NCR locale.

History

Hapur is said to have been established in the tenth hundred years.
Hapur is recorded on Ain-I-Akbari as a pargana under Delhi sarkar, creating income of 2,103,589 dams in the state depository and giving a multitude of 300 infantry and 4 ponies.
Introduced by Daulat Scindia to his French general Pierre Cuillier-Perron in the late 1800 year. Under the British Raj, Hapur was situated in the Meerut Oblast, encompassed by fine trees, and for the most part dealt in sugar, jaggery (gur), grains, cotton, wood, bamboo, and copper and iron vessels. A significant rangers stop and the Babugarh ranch are near town. It used to be inside the Ghaziabad locale. Until 2012 it turned into a different region. It goes in close vicinity to the Meerut commission.
